First of all, I’m very proud of you for making the decision to dive in; learning something new can be challenging and often intimidating, and not everyone is able overcome that fear like you just have. Good for you, and congratulations!

My name is Jennifer-Crystal Johnson, but you can just call me Jen. I’m your instructor for this course, and I’d like you to be as comfortable as possible with me, so this short video is basically me introducing myself so that we can get started quickly.

Some additional quick facts:

• I’ve been self-publishing for about 10 years and helping clients to do the same; I've been involved in about 150+ book projects in some way or another.
• One of my passions is quality over quantity because that helps your work “stick” in the marketplace as opposed to fizzling out quickly due to poor presentation and content.
• ALL learning styles should be respected, so I've done my best here to cater to everyone, including the kinesthetic learners like me. If you're also a kinesthetic learner, you'll be super happy to know that you can work on your book as you go through each lesson of this course!

I think that’s about it =). On a more personal note, I’m a single mom of three awesome kids and we have three cats and a dog who are like members of the family. Between creating courses, recording videos, writing books, and marketing, I can usually be found cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, or folding laundry. Ah, the glamorous life of … a human being ;).

What's the secret to finishing an online course such as this one? A reward at the end, of course!!! Here's my shameless recommendation of a reward ;). I'm not saying you *have to* pick one, but the option is here ;).

I don't know about you, but I think there is something truly magical about an autographed book. For just a split second, it's like the author's life and yours meet, intertwine, and then part ways again, sometimes leaving such an impressive mark on your soul that you'll cherish the experience fondly for the rest of your life.

I personally have a collection of signed books that I've received over the years. My most prized is a signed copy of Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, and I hope to have these signed books in my collection for a long time =).
